My weddings may 2012 and ive changed my colour scheme twice since being engaged.....and wont need ot make a decision really until we go BM dress shopping in the spring....

If your wanting a summer 2013 wedding id defo wait before deciding , i mean being on here you'l get loads of ideas in the meantime, but your venue can also help your colour scheme (dependant on if its traditional, modern, old new etc)

Do you have any favourite colours?

Once you have decided on a venue this usually gives you a better idea of the style of wedding, ie a modern venue will give you a Bright, bold colour scheme, a stately Home/Castle could be more of a Vintage pastel, muted colour scheme.

    The time of year:

Winter always reminds me of Ice Blues, White, Silver or Reds & Golds Purple

Spring, Lilacs, Pale Pinks, Sage Green, Lemon, Peachy Corals

    Summer Cerise, Pink, Lime, Red

    Autumn Browns,Orange, Yellow

Your dress will also help with a theme by the style of it.

I have narrowed it down to either silver and royal blue or silver and teal. I'm swaying towards the blue, and OH likes it too - we'll see for sure though when the BMs try their dresses on.

Ahh both those sound lovely. I like the idea of silver, maybe pink and silver. But if you have silver do u think the men should be in grey suits Dont think my fiance would like to wear grey....

I'm having black so that the silver really stands out against it - I feel that grey would take the empasis of the silver away.

Also, I looked into raspberry and lime colours and theme which would have been fun on a larger budget! lol ?

We are getting married this August. Our colours are black, ivory and silver. This was mainly decided around me wanting black bridesmaid dresses!

Does your partner have any suggestions?

We chose hunter green and ivory - she was thinking about green and I looked up some different shades and did some mock-ups and then we came across hunter green and decided that would be nice, as it fitted in with the fact we were getting married in the new forest.

My partner says its up to me as long as its not blue and white as he is an arsenal fan! Haha! Think if he really disliked anything I chose he would tell me.

    Your theme sounds lovely xx

Personally, I would decide on a wedding venue first, and time of year before the colours... This will make things easier.

Also - in the scheme of things - it's not that important. Spending time picking the right DJ and photographer is probably the most important thing as your guests will remember whether they had a good party, and the photographer will capture your special day to give you memories forever.
