Car help please

*MM3*, 26 July, 2013 at 22:03 Posted on Planning 0 13

Thought our cars were pretty much sorted and now i'm having 2nd thoughts and would like opinions please,

This is the bridal car which will be taking myself & dad to the church and obviously me & OH will travel to reception venue in :

Now I thought that's fine and we chose a car from the same place for OH & best man to travel in to church and as it's a 7 seater, thought when church was done it could take parents, best man, BM & brother then just leaves us to sort taxis for the rest of the guests. BUT looking again on the website and it has this car described as a "bridal car" & realised every car on the website is down as bridal, reading on google and says most grooms travel to church in sports cars or something, had my mind set on this but don't know what to do now...honest opinions please as I know hee-haw about wedding cars or any cars actually Smiley smile This is it -

Groom car or not groom car? Hmm.
Know the usual is to have a car from bridesmaids etc but as im only having one and no flower girl or anything it's not really necessary Smiley smile

Wow, I love that first car especially! I don't think it matters at all what the cars are labelled as - just go with what you and your OH fancy for the day.

Honestly? I think you're overthinking it. I'd go with whatever was most convenient and cheapest! ?

Thank you both! Was hoping that would be the case, was frightened we'd think it was fine and then people laughing at the groom & best man haha, so paranoid!
Definitely the most practical for us and is £500 for both of them so quite a good deal Smiley smile (I think) lol.
Minds at ease now, thanks again Smiley laugh

I love your bridal car and am insanely jealous of it ?

As for the groom's car, I think it's great. I don't see it as a bridal car personally and think it would be great to take groom and BM there and family back ?

My sister had a bridal car very much like the one you are having, it's absolutely beautiful. I agree with everyone else the other one doesn't look too bridal at all!

there is no accounting for taste!

You are massively overt thinking. Most men turn up in any old car so I wouldn't fret.

My OH was saying he will go in his transit!

His parents have a nice BMW so he will probably go in that.

The car you have for your OH is brilliant and your car is gorgeous ?

Most people will not see the groom and best man arrive, so to be honest it really doesn't matter. There's nothing particularly "bridal" about that Merc as far as I can see, and it'll do fine for transporting people to the reception.

My H was staying at the venue the night before so didn't have any transport.

We are going in one of these, bare in mind venue is less than 5mins away from hotel. (Hotel it right outside park entrance, venue located inside park)

It will take groom, best man and groomsmen, before coming back for bridesmaids, my mum and grandma then finally myself and dad!

couldnt justify spending a fortune on cars for such a short journey... Going to Book standard cabs to get us back to hotel at end of night!

My OH is going in a 1961 series 2 land rover, quite the opposite to a sports car. I think just go with whatever you like, and if u chose that car i wouldnt be put off if they now call it a bridal car x
