Car hire help - any Ford Focus Drivers?!

Good Afternoon people!

Wonder if you may be able to help.... we're going to South Africa next February for my brothers wedding and are currently looking at car hire..... There are 4 adults and my daughter who will be 11months old when we travel.....

We've found a great price for a ford focus.... but the question is, will we all fit comfortably ie: 2 adults and a car seat in the back??

I don't know anyone with a focus, so can't test it out before we book the car - anyone with a focus out there to tell me whether this would work?!!

We have the older shape one and unless the 2nd adult is very small and skinny then no I dont think you would fit comfortably in there.

We travelled for 5 hours in my Focus with 4 adults and the car seat. Me and H sat in the back as we were the slimmer pair. I wouldn't say it was a comfortable journey but easily bearable. There is enough boot space for 2 pushchairs and our weeks shopping too.

I don't think it will be overly comfortable but bearable if the adults in the back are small framed and not too tall.

Not quite the same but I can only just squeeze in the back of mine between our two forward facing car seats if we have another adult in the front (or are on the way to A&E) and I can't get my shoulders back so have to lean forward. It was only marginally comfier when one of the seats was rear facing.

I have the new shape one and its no problem for seating adults in the back.
