Cardiff, Blackpool or London???

Zobo:), 15 January, 2011 at 00:23 Posted on Planning 0 10

After seeing a few Hen night posts on here recently i decided its probably best to start thinking of my own, also my friends keep telling me to get my bum in gear, i know they're right so i spent the day looking up destinations and i've narrowed it down to three, as above, so if anyone lives at any of the places, has visited or has any suggestions on which is best for a hen night let me know as i'm stuck! Thank you Smiley smile

I live in Cardiff and it's also where I'll be having my hen do - we're going to a musical at the Wales Millennium Centre (much cheaper than London prices) and a meal/drinks etc at Cardiff Bay which is a lovely area. If it's what you're into then Cardiff is also great for bars and clubs in the centre. But it depends what you want to do, as London would also be great, especially if you have a huge budget, and Blackpool is a lot of fun!

I live in Manchester & is having my hen night in Cardiff, it's more for the family i have down there and the night life, I've not been London but it's a tad expensive lol & backpool isn't for me, as it's on my doorstep and i've been there too many times lol so for me Cardiff wins!!

I'm having mine in London by default as that is where we live and I didn't want my poor studenty hens to fork out loads to travel and stay somewhere else LOL. However, if you don't already live here, London is EXPENSIVE. Where are you? If you're not already in London, I would suggest Blackpool. It is tacky, but ever so delightfully so (and perfect for a hen night), and perhaps the "morning after" if you want some old country charm there are plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants which are in the village itself rather than the seafront.

I'm in the south coast so London is the nearest, Blackpool is about 6 hrs drive but i've always wanted to go back after attending a wedding there 5 yrs ago and never getting to enjoy the night life or pleasure beach, Cardiff is looking like the best bet at the moment as its not as expensive as London but not as far as Blackpool, I'm looking for somewhere that can offer nice hotels and restraunts for the more reserved of my hen party but still have some good clubs and bars for those who want to be carried home lol!

Brighton maybe? Not so far, but has nice hotels and bars/restaurants and is pretty small as well.

Although perhaps you already live there and want to go elsewhere. Which is fair enough haha!

    Zobo,

May seem a bit crazy, but what sort of date are you looking at? Only asking because if your thinking of going for cardiff you may want to double check it's not a rugby international day: Cardiff is always heaving on those days!! Don't get me wrong it's usually a good crowd and a good laugh but you will end up queueing twice as long as usual to get in pubs clubs etc.

Personally i'm not a fan of blackpool and whilst I wouldn't mind London the costs might be a bit much.

That said - i could be going to any of these places - my sisters organised it and the only thing I know is that I'm going in three weeks time and i'm going by train!

Iv had a couple of girlie weekends in blackpool, we had a great time! Went to pleasure beach in day, restaurant for tea, then hit the pubs and clubs. There is a male lapdancing club which is a good laugh, just a bit of fun nothing like a mans strip club! I would reccommend it for fun weekend away, you have to leave your 'class' at the door! Ha xx

Of the three places you've mentioned, my preference would be for London. I'm biased as I live in London but it really does have something for everyone.

As for price - a hen weekend in London can cost as much or as little as you want to spend. You just need to know the right places to go! If you need any London advice, just give me a shout.
