We are having a day buffet for approx 80 guests and a hog roast on the evening for 140, does anyone have any suggestions how many to cater for day and night, do u think i have the buffet and hog roast the right way around, maybe hog roast during the day would be better really not sure, do hog roasts only cater for what u tell them, has anyone had them x

    Hi Emma :0) we are having a hog for 80ish in the afternoon and the same company are providing an evening buffet for 100ppl. It comes as a package but we have tweaked things to suit. Eg: package comprised hog for 75, buffet for 100, 75 chair covers and sashes, 100 favours, cupcakes, 3 tier wedding cake.... Can't think what else. Anyway, we have done it like this: hog for 75/80, hotdogs for 20 kids, extra chair covers, favours, cupcakes and buffet as is and, seeing as my sister is making my cake, they are also going to provide table runners and sweets for the kids. So they have been really flexible and I can't wait to see how it all pans out. I prefer hog then buffet, but it's what you think best suits your day and guests. Worth asking if they are prepared to negotiate changes to any set deal tho. Good luck! :0) xx

    ...... Any leftover hog will either be boxed up for us to take home or added to the buffet. Caterer says it's our choice... Xx

    We're also having a hog roast as a sit down wedding breakfast for 70 people. It includes buns, crackling, 2 types of potatoes, 3 types of salads, cheese, fried onion and sauce. Then we're having a trio of deserts to follow.

    In the evening the same company are providing a buffet for 115 people.

    Our hog roast feeds a minimum of 60 people so we are expecting left overs. Any, will be sliced and added to evening buffet
