Catering recommendations please!

Summerdayz, 25 April, 2013 at 00:27 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi im a newbie,

Im currently in the process of looking for possible venues, we have been to view "The Old Greens Barn" in Newdigate which is lovely and reasonably priced, we are thinking of having hog roast to keep the price down but its just the barn shell so need to hire in everything, chairs, tables, cutlery, a bar etc. Can anyone recommend any caterers who provide all the equipment as well as a hog roast at a good price? Or has anyone had or currently organising a wedding there that has any recommendations?

Thank you ?

You need to look at a catering option where everything is taken care of for you - where everything is disposable and hassle free. Also, don't alienate all of your guests by just opting for a hog roast - there are other options that can be just as appealing and delicious without offering those vegetarians! ?

    Hi There

I have a couple of great caterers that do offer the whole package but wanted to advise that this route is going to be quite expensive. I get the feeling from your comment (that the venue is reasonably priced) that you are hoping for a reasonably priced caterer.

The truth is that apart from the cutlery and crockery, if they need to bring in ovens, bar, bar staff, cooking equipment, tables, chairs, etc then it will probably end up costing a lot more then choosing a venue which can do it in house or at least has a working kitchen.

If you would still like a recommendation, do let me know and I can get you in touch.

    Kind regards
    Idit
