Centre pieces...

Beefzoid, 20 January, 2013 at 11:45 Posted on Planning 0 3

Im really struggling to decide what to have as the centre pieces on the tables... I would like to have possibly hurricane shaped vases with flowers in... but was planning on giving the flowers at the end of the breakfast to specials members of of our familys (our mums and nans). But flowers wont last very long and can be very expensive... so was thinking maybe having a little rose bush/plant.. which could be taken and planted in the garden after so that it lasts alot longer. We are planning on having an english country garden themed wedding with lots of pink and cream roses anyway... the problem im having is visualising what it would look like with potted plants rather than just stems of roses...

I would lihe the table to be 'busy' rather than just one thing in the middle...

Any suggestions or flashes of ideas would be great!

A busy table! That I like!

A non-busy table...

I bought this the other day and was thinking roses like this... but not yellow (in pinks and creams) but not sure how would work!

It took a lot of deliberation for me to reach an idea I was happy with. I'll try and sort out some pictures for you but we're hiring candelabras from our florist, to have flowers on them was v expensive so we're having little pots of single stems around the base alternating with tealights and scatter crystals.

I was going to say love the idea of a plantable rose bush, I'd definitely be pleased about receiving something like that over cut flowers, maybe get a domed shaped one though? Like I think you can get mini rose bushes in pots that are shaped?

Thats put a huge smile on my face knowing that using potted plants isnt a duff idea! i bought that little yellow one in the 99p shop! i also bought my nan a pink one, so i know that hunting around i should be able to get them cheap (ALOT cheaper than buying fresh cut roses), Im just in need of some inspiration as of how to present them... what pots, how could i also use vases and candles on the tables, i also have rose petal decorations and little diamond gem things i want scattered also...
