Centrepiece Opinions?

MayBride2015, 17 March, 2014 at 15:50 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi All, I had a day off work today so thought I would be prou tube and try and create a centrepiece idea. I already decided that I wanted to make something myself rather than hiring them as I like being a little creative. So I just wanted to get your opinions on these so far? I personally think the bottom looks a bit bare so will add some crystals. There will also be some crystally bits around the table. What do you girls think? Do they look ok?

I think they look fab, well done! I do agree with you that a few water crystals would really finish them off though.

I wish I was creative, I have to pay someone else to do my centrepeices.

They look lovely. I'd try them on a white cloth though as you'll get a better feel for the overall effect. And I'd test with the candles lit too. I'm not sure the bottom does look bare as you get the lovely reflection of the orchids. But a few crystals beyond the mirror plate might be nice. X

Ooooh good idea about the white cloth! I didn't think about that. Will try that in a mo. I would try with lit candles, but we aren't allowed to light them in our venue due to health and safety or something like that!

If you can't light the candles why have them? I think you can get floating led ones which are safe Smiley winking but if you can't then I would rethink. IMHO unlit candles look like you've forgotten to light them. X

I think they look lovely too, but agree with Pammy - if you can't light them I'd definitely think about something else. The grass that you've got in the top bowl looks lovely - could you think about adding some floating flower heads or something instead?

I know.. I was gutted when I read in my venue contract about the candles. But I'm going to try my luck and ask again when I go up there in a few weeks. Otherwise, I don't really like the LED lights so my only other option are the flower heads. Going to have to get my thinking cap on again. Thanks for your honesty girls Smiley smile x
