Just wondering what are you all doing for your centrepieces? My mind is blank!

I'm so glad you started this post! I thought it would be something quite easy but there are so many options!

I love the tall martini like vase idea but it wouldn't look right with out theme I don't think.

Other ideas we have thought of are some wheat decorations.

Our latest idea is not to have them... Sounds crazy but our starter is a sharing dish and we think if we had centrepieces they'd have to be moved/ be really small so we are wondering whether it's worth it?

Hope you get some replies (and maybe some flashes...)

I've started to think about centrepieces too! Because of our budget, we're not going down the flower route and I'm thinking of just doing something myself other than paying someone else to bring them in. I looked on ikea the other day and they sell 2 different sized cylinder vases for £4. I'm thinking to just fill them with water and add some floating candles. I may then hire some pirror plates and buy some crystally bits to scatter (really cheap on eBay)! If you have a bigger budget, I do love the large martini glasses filled with a ball of roses. Looks beautiful. X

I initially wanted mixed height pillar candles on a mirrored plate but OH wanted flowers, so we've gone for mini martini vases with pastel flowers on a mirrored plate and some tea lights around the base.

This was my first attempt at ours; fliage from mum's garden, flowers brought from a stall at the market and £17 worth was enough for 5 of these but will probably have more flowers as it looked a bit leafy, although picture doesn't do it justice IMO! Decanters and glasses brought from charity shops, have probably spent around £30 on them and that's nearly enough for all our tables. I'll be getting mirror plates to go underneath as well.

I was thinking about fish bowls with blue LED lights but I can't work out what I can use the cover the big battery pack! Any thoughts?

^^^ this. We're having an afternoon tea instead of a 3 course meal so our tables are going to be full of cake stands. We've got mini blackboards to put the table names on (schools where we've been educated or worked) plus favours, plus a picture quiz so I think to add anything further would be overkill!

I'm posting to get ideas! I have no clue. Our venue provides mirror plates and tea lights for the tables, but I wanted something glitzy and autumny to sit on the mirror plates. FSIL2 said she would do them and asked for inspiration, which I gave her, but that was months ago and I've not heard anything from her since, so I think mine might be left to the last minute!

We have silver candelabras included so think we'll just place some extra tealight holders and some little vases with flowers on the table. Was considering getting flowers around the candelabras but I think it's too expensive! Do you have Pinterest? Am sure if you search for *insert idea/theme* wedding centrepieces and I'm sure you'll get loads of ideas. Do you have a rough idea of your style/theme? Not that you have to even have one (a theme) of course!

This is my inspiration for the centrepieces. Probably without the mirror plate and the table number on a vinyl record.

I'm stuck on this. I thought like a spring bluebell themed planter but do i want to risk the bulbs not flowering on time?

    Love the structural wood ones.

We're just having one long table and wanted to keep it fairly cheap, so we're having a few of these:

...with some clusters of sprayed gold jars with flowers in in between. (No idea why the photo is sideways on!)

This is what we are having, but more flowers and candles around the bottom. And it will be sitting on a hessian runner.

Something like this for us, we have ceramic cake stands, and instead of candles, we are having something related to our table names (they are names ofter countries we have travelled to together, so a mini surfboard for Australia, and a statue of liberty for the USA, etc)

Ooooh, I love the twiggy tree like centrepieces! Stunning! All the flashes look so pretty though.

We had wrought iron candelabras with greenery and winter foliage and berries, cream candles (december wedding)

Not a clue. We were thinking of small birdcages with flowers and fairylights, but I'm worried that might be too expensive. I can find birdcages to hire for a fiver each, and fairylights on ebay for a couple of quid, but fake flower garlands are almost impossible to find around here, and those that I can find are really expensive. The room's really elegant, so the tables don't need very much. Mum & Dad suggested tea candles in small votive holders, but I definitely want something floral. No idea what we'll do for the top table, either.

We're probably going to fill something with flowers. I say something, because I've seen loads of ideas, but have yet to decide on anything. I really like all the ones with candles in, but our venue is an old gunpowder magazine, so no naked flames allowed! I know you can get fake candles, (which we're going to use for the vents in the walls,) but I don't think they'd look right in a centre piece.

We're going with something like this as we didn't like tall centre pieces.
