Certificate of Approval UPDATE - - - I'm soooooo excited!!!!!

itgirlno1, 20 May, 2010 at 17:10 Posted on Planning 0 15

The Home Office can go take a running jump, useless bunch of incompetent fools....

We're going with plan B and getting married at an Anglican church instead where we don't need the Home Office to give us approval. They didn't bother helping us in the time they were supposed to and nearly screwed up our wedding.

But now, all praise to God for going before us and preparing the way, we have been massively blessed in having a lovely minister help us to get married on our date of 5th June around the corner from our church, but we can still have everything the way we wanted it - we can have our own minister perform the address and our own worship team to do the music and carry on with the sit down meal at our own church after the ceremony at the other one, isn't that amazing????

We just need to get a marriage license from London (something to do with the CofE) and we don't even need to have it in hand to have the marriage go ahead! So they could issue it from there but if anything happens to it in transit, it doesn't matter because we've still got the go ahead.

I'M GETTING MARRIED IN 16 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, we still have lots to do - writing out amendment cards at the minute to inform all our guests of change of ceremony venue. Waiting for our flowers to be delivered so I can make them with my sisters...still got OoS to make, menu cards to make, place cards to be written on (but they've all been made), H2b and BM's suits to buy, along with ties for all the ushers, still got to take the hems up on the BMS dresses and collect my corset from the dry cleaners but hey ho...it'll all be sorted before the day!
