Chair Cover Help!

xMissyLoux, 17 January, 2012 at 20:22 Posted on Planning 0 5

There seem to be so many different options and just wondered if any of you hitchers know which ones are best...cotton, lycra, satin etc?

I dont think you can beat the look of the cotton ones, theyre so lovely.

However if your on a budget (like me)! We had to settle for the lycra, and even though theyre not half as nice as cotton theyre really not that bad and will give the weddingy look i want about the room on the day.

    Havent seen the satin ones!!

I was originally going for the cotton ones as I personally thought they looked better. When I went to book the lady told me for the chairs we have in the venue the lycra fitted better and they dont crease. They worked out cheaper as well ?

I really need some ideas for this too. The chairs at one of the venues I am interested in are not great but I wanted something different to the normal chair covers.

    I loved this idea

I think this is a question that is really down to personal preference aswel as budget for some people.

We stock Nylon Stretch - Poly Cotton and A range of Damask Chair Covers It goes without saying our Nylon ones are more popular but not always because of the cost implacation. Here's 2 photo's of the same venue dressed in two different styles. Personally I prefer the stretch for a number of reasons mainly because there are no creases and secondly because they stay in exactly as they were when you first dressed them. Remembering that your venue may need to move yoru chairs around if you covert from a civil to a reception and your guests pulling their chairs in and out all day/evening. Providing you choose a company that have good quality stretch covers with elasticated pockets in the feet these will not move. I also personally prefer the more streamline finsh you get with the Stretch covers.

So is the first phcoto with the brown sashes cotton covers and the second photo with the red sashes the lycra style covers? Because I don't like the look of the chairs in the second photo at all! Much prefer the overall look of the first (brown sashes) photo, so looks like I need the cotton covers!

Thanks everyone who has replied so far, has helped greatly!
