We didn't use them but I've seen people quoting anything between £2 and £4 each depending on the quantity, whether you have sashes or not, and whether you have someone set them up for you or not.

Our venue has said we need 'specific' chair covers as their chairs are funny shapes so worth checking - means it's £4 a chair though :o(

Just remember that chair covers are very much an optional extra, and by no means an essential requirement for a wedding.

They may have the 'wow factor' (to a degree) when you enter the room, but once people have sat down and put their coats/jackets on the back, will you really notice either way?

If the venue has really ugly chairs then that's one thing but otherwise I personally think they're a bit of a waste of money. Saving £200 on the venue, then paying out £400 to cover the chairs, almost seems a bit of a false economy to me.

Here's our venue - perhaps we were lucky that we coordinated our colours with the venue and the chairs were fine, but I don't look at our pictures and think "I wish we'd had chair covers".

It may be worth trying to get a last minute deal also- We're in Kent and there appears to be hundreds of companys who do chair covers so we have left it until last weekend to book and managed to save £150 (£2 per chair instead of £3.50)

    Hiya,

We're paying £1.49 a chair (it was a special offer with the sash free). We are having to set them up ourselves but to save money I don't mind (or at least hopefully my bridesmaids won't mind as that will be their job the day before!! lol). They are being delievered on the Thursday (wedding on the sat) and then are collected again on the monday.

    Rachel xx

I also found a company doing them for £1.49 a chair plus £35 delivery, that was for a lycra cover and organza sash and you had to set them up yourself. We've decided on a different company though who are charging £2.50 a chair, for a pleated cover and satin sash and they have free delivery and set up. It's working out around £75 more than the first company, but I like that we don't have to set them up ourselves and I personally prefer the pleated covers. That's in Glasgow.

Wow it's amazing how much the prices differ - i think i'm going to have to get my google on!

I think i would prefer for someone to set it up for me, i'm not the most organise and would probably under estimate how much time it could take!

    Thank you.
