Challenge - Outfit help, for a bit of a fussy bugger

alleroo, 18 June, 2009 at 20:24 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

Thanks to FIL we both have some cash that must be spent on clothing for SIL's wedding in about 2-3 weeks time (4th July). It's a pretty casual wedding, she's not got a 'proper' wedding dress, and there's absolutely no specified dress code at all other than "it's a pretty casual wedding"

so
as I've said before, I was thinking of wearing this dress (which looks much nicer on), but have managed to pretty much train myself, and messed with my meds enough to find a level where I can manage to wear more strappy shoes/sandals than before

so now I'm not stuck with just ballet pumps, although heels are still out

plus I need some accessories to make this more suitable for a wedding

or the other option is to buy a whole new outfit

budget: max. £150 for the lot (although less would be better as I'd find it hard to spend that much on one outfit)
shoes: must be flat
clothes: size 16-18, pastels don't suit me, nor does any shade of yellow, bigish norks, not particularly toned after just having lost about 3 stone

anyone feel up to the challenge?

I have just bought this dress, it is lovely on!

I am wearing it with red heels and a red bag but you could wear it with some nice red strappy shoes

That dress would probably suit me - I've just slimmed out of a similar style one, but the shoes would cut right across the part of my ankle I can't get used to anything touching

    red would work though, thanks
