Changing your name

Hey Ladies

For those of you who have already changed your name or are going to how long before the big day did you notify the different companies of your change of name e.g. gas bills, back etc etc.

    Hmmm I thought i would have do it when we come back from our honeymoon. That way I would have the marriage certificate to prove the name should be changed. If im wrong ppl...let me know!!

    I haven't done it myself yet but work in insurance and i have newly married people ringing me all the time to change their circumstances.

    we don't need any proof as such of their change of name but for stuff like car insurance for example being married can bring your premium down, so for obvious reasons it makes sense to wait until youre married to change name over so your details are correct at time of change.

    however for stuff like utility bills it doesn't make such a difference so i suppose you could do this before the wedding if you wanted to (and had the time!!!!!) xx
