Following Barongreenbacks delightful invitation, i'm bringing this over here!

Does anyone own a charm bracelet? I am thinking of asking for one for my 21st birthday (its in November but i like to plan ahead). My mum had originally wanted to buy me a ring for my 18th birthday and then said she would buy for my 21st instead but er mr delicious beat her to it and its ended up as my engagement ring... So i thought a charm bracelet might be the way to go, a nice keepsake of the important times, like i could get a mortar cap charm when i graduate etc.

I've had a look already this morning and i really love these two from links of london:

the signature bracelet https://www.linksoflondon.com/charm-maker

and the silver bracelet https://www.linksoflondon.com/charm-maker

But i've also seen this one called a Pandora charm bracelet, does anyone have one or seen one? It doesnt look like a traditional one with the hanging charms but you can put other stuff like glass beads and things on too

https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/detail/R/6584284/

and then you choose your charms which look like this:

https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/browse/N/179+4294966708/

What do people think? does anyone have one, would you be willing to show me what type? or recommend anyone who does nice ones?

Thanks girls. Jackie i didn't think the lovelinks ones fit on other bracelets. Do they fit the pandora chain as well? or just the chamilia?

Lovelinks beads will fit on any bracelets..

Lovelinks beads have a larger center hole than other beads so will fit on anything. The reason Troll/Pandora/Chamilia beads dont fit on Lovelinks Bracelets is because the stoppers on Lovelinks bracelets are larger than the holes in the other types of beads.

Personally i would buy a Pandora bracelet, but the Lovelinks glass beads as they are alot cheaper than the Pandora glass beads.(There is a seller on ebay who sells the sets of 6 lovelinks beads for £49.99 instead of £89.95 and they are genuine)

I dont have a charm bracelet but a charm necklace,

    https://hotdiamonds.co.uk/womens-jewellery/necklaces/page/6 (charm necklace)

https://hotdiamonds.co.uk/womens-jewellery/charms/page/1 (lots of charms to choose from)

I am not the jewellery type, and only really own a wedding and engagement ring? but a friend bought me a necklace and two charms (slice of cake and a 4 leaf clover one) and I have wore it now for about a month and nearly every day someone askes me where did I get it, the charms can be changed to suit!!

I love my thomas sabo charms. I never intended to put charms on it but I was bought a couple so now I have my intial, my husband's initial and my daughter's initial and a solid heart. I was just thinking today about when I would pass it on to my daughter.

Before I had even heard of Pandora, a friend of mine was saying how she thought they were really chavvy and it put me off them. I am so easily influenced! It didn't help when I heard my BIl was selling copies on his market stall.

I love the old-fashioned type of charm bracelet, my mum has one with lots of lovely charms on which I used to love when i was a kid. hmmm, i might get one!

I have a Pandora bracelet and a traditional charm bracelet (a large-link silver bracelet which I collect charms for whenever I go anywhere).

I like the fact that with the Pandora one, you can more easily change its look to have a lot of beads on or just one, and they come in so many colours, when you've collected a few beads you can change it to match what you are wearing Smiley smile

I think their popularity (and thus the easy availability of fakes) has given some people a bad impression of them, but I love mine. Each bead has its own story Smiley smile

I have a charm bracelet. I think I got it on my 13th birthday and it is one of the old fashioned silver ones. All of the charms represent an occassion or event in my life and I think I have about 20 on there. I got an FA cup as a present when I moved to Portsmouth. I think its much more personal than those sweetie/Jellybean things.
