Check out the post in WP...

I just opened it and read about two lines and closed it again. It seemed so odd. Really not bothered but now you've suggested spam I might take another look and see what I think.

I couldn't even bring myself to skim read. One bit caught my eye though - "We laughed and talked and tickled and giggled" (or something, not a direct quote.) Don't get it.

I tried again but no. I couldn't stomach it. No idea if it's spam but it is definitely odd.

I was immediately put out by the "we've done more in three years than most people do in a lifetime". When people open with that, they'd better have done something pretty demmed spectacular - like abseiled down the Empire State or something.

I'm not sure if it's spam as the poster has posted relatively normal stuff on other threads (although, why have you already bought BM shoes when your wedding's not for 30months?). It kind of reads like bad fanfiction to me. Either that, or the poster has been challenged to fit in as much hyperbole and as many fairytale cliches as they can. And what's with all of the different formatting styles?!

It's just a bit odd...I've gone back and re read it now, tho Im sure its probably a real woman with real (uber romantical) feelings it just kinda sounds like the ramblings of someone's fantasy imagination...

Off to investigate...I'll be off my rocker on pain killers soon so better read while my vision is still good lol

Apparently it is ID, I looked it up! Lol. I think it's because we scare people away! They don't stick around to become regulars when their first post gets hounded

The problem with WP is that people think getting married means everything has to be tickety boo and we all need to say how wonderful they are and their plans and how nothing they do is ever wrong. It's stupid and really irritates me.

Sometimes people need to be shown the reality of the situation and that there actually is another viewpoint, but it can be difficult on a forum as words and intent are misconstrued (my word for the day). Interesting that almost all the contributors felt OP was being selfish but that was all disregarded for the one post that said there there....and referring to "the little princess" how was that anything other than a slight at the little girl??? rant over lol.....

I agree that the choice of words was probably not the best, but she did ask if we thought she was being selfish. Unreasonable or unhelpful would have probably covered it better.

She was being rude about the little girl. I don't know how it could have been meant in a nice way when she was moaning about her behaviour in the same sentence. I think it's pretty low to go on an internet forum and lay into a 6 year old who's supposedly the best friends daughter. Weird!

...what can I say ....wow!! Again, didnt read it all, but the bits I read it was like she was starting to write a book. It is very random indeed.

This is what I find odd. If my two best friends have children those kids will be like nieces and nephews to me, and this child is the same age as hers, you'd think they'd be best mates too.

It shouldn't but it really winds me up when someone asks a question, gets an answer and then the people answering get berated for it just because someone doesn't agree with the answer the OP got.

This is one of the main reasons the WP forums get on my t*ts now... You're not allowed an opinion on there anymore.

It annoys me more, as in this case, when it isn't even the OP that gets their back up about it. If you wade in and moan at people, expect to be berated for it! Not your fight, why get your knickers in a twist on behalf of someone else?

Making others out to be nasty has seriously peed me off.

It's always been like it, at least it has since I've been here. It's actually died down a bit in recent times. I mean, there used to be full on rows and flounces galore!
