Chips and Gravy?

Oh no, I love chips and gravy. I never make it at home but I get it from the chippy.

No, chips and gravy is great, especially with some grated cheese as well.

I have gravy on chips from the chippy but not at home.

That is soooooooo wrong, every one knows it has to be chips and mayo.

Yep. Cheesy chips are good, chips and gravy are good but with both - I'm not so sure!

When I was in trade training at Brize, there was a chippy literally just outside the gate that did this, oh it was lovely ? alot better than going to the mess.

I've never had gravy with chips. I love my salt a vinegar far too much ruin the taste of that with gravy.

Chippy chips with gravy is lovely. Last night after a night on the beer we went to the chippy, I had battered sausage, chips & curry sauce with lots of salt and vinegar. It was bloody lovely, my friend had chips with cheese and mayo which was also yum.

Chips and Gravy rocks....Its a northern staple and on every fish and chip shop menu in North Yorkshire ??? They have to be chippy chips though !

Chips and gravy is fantastic. You can't get gravy at the chippies down here, which I think is basically an afront to my human rights. Last time I asked, you'd think I'd asked for heroin.

Chips peas and gravy - there is no finer food. The peas must be mushy, obviously, and all this should be accompanied by white plastic bread and some type of yellow lubricant, preferably butter.

I'm not a chips & gravy fan. Chips & curry sauce, or mayo, or ketchup or even mushy peas are good, but gravy or cheese are a bit wrong IMO (though now I live in the Midlands it seems to be the done thing round here!)

Chips and gravy is by far my favourite meal- but i am weird i like it with grated cheese on top and curry sauce on the side and HP fruity sauce as well!! (Hence the name- I have it on everything!!) ?

Chips and gravey as part of a meal is fine. However chips and gravy on it's own is a bit weird, although not something you come across in chip shops in the South.

I'll only have chips and gravy in Ibiza? It's chips and curry sauce all the way for me.

Chips should be soaked in salt and vinegar, with a generous dollop of ketchup for dipping.

Gravy is nice, but as a purist, I can't sanction it on chips.

Don't get me started on mushy peas. Vile things.
