Chocolate Brownie Question....

catcat, 17 September, 2008 at 18:29 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

Ok, bear with me.... I am a complete domestic nightmare but am trying to cook more....

So today I tried white and dark choc marbled brownies.... recipe said 35 mins or until set in the middle.... did this, got them out, let them cool but when I cut them up, they still seemed pretty wet in the middle.

Just put them back in for another 20mins (lots of reviews really rate them but do comment they take longer) - they still seem quite wet although not sure whether this is just goo because the mixture was very runny/gooey... I am going to wait to see what they look like once cooled....

So brownie makers, I guess i am asking whether they are likely to be a bit gooey/wet or whether they still need longer. Also, the recipe contained 4 eggs and I am worried that if they are gooey, then I will be feeding people raw eggs!

Can anyone give me any idea!!!

Thanks :-o

I usually do the skewer test. if it comes out clean they're done. they do usually look a bit gooey but they cook a bit more as they're cooling. however if its definately wet mixture it needs more time

I think with brownies, some goo is to be expected. But after 30 minutes, I am pretty sure the eggs are done.
