Choice of Wedding Entertainment

Never heard of YOUR BAND and after your attempt at naughty advertising I won't be booking you either.

Rules are at the top of the forum so not too hard to miss. Please don't try to lie to get advertising/bookings because it honestly doesn't set a very good reputation for yourself on Hitched. Oh and please don't reply saying the band isn't your own.....been there got the t-shirt.

Yes - as above. Nice try mate...do it the proper way and you will reap the rewards. This way just shoots you in the foot. Instantly.

Thanks for your comments but I only want to hear from anyone who can give me some genuine useful information, be it positive or negative before I book this band. I really feel sorry for the people who spend time on this blog writing negative posts which have nothing what so ever to do with the actual request. I have only provided the information needed to identify the band, why are you acting like prats?

Hopefully I will get a genuine response at some point to a simple legitimate post from someone who hasn't got their own agenda.

I am so sorry. I never hear of the band you mention. If you want to know something about it, i think you can google it or other way to check it.

If that is the case then fair enough, but when you have a newbie come on who hasn't posted before and the first thing they do is direct their question about a supplier it looks a bit obvious. Most people coming on for advice start with things such as venues, themes, colours, ideas for entertainment, so you will just have to forgive our sinical attitude. At the end of the day, the best way to know if a band is any good is to try and go and see them in action so you need to find out if they are playing somewhere that you can 'pop' your head into.

Thanks Ruth, I've left all the technical arrangements to my fiancee ;-) but I'm trying to organise the entertainment.

I contacted the band when I first found them and they were really helpful and gave us a list of functions which were as close as possible to our area, but they were all wedding receptions. We popped along to one of them and what we heard was really good, but it was awkward trying to view or listen to the band and you don't want to appear as if you're trying to gate crash the wedding!

I thought I may get someone on here who had experienced a whole nights entertainment of them performing, as that is when you really get an idea of how good a band is.

To be honest i read your first post and thought advertiser as well so dont think your reply to the other hitchers who said that was really justified. Where abouts in Scotland are you and what sort of band are you looking for as am sure their are hitchers on here that wil be happy to recomend other bands even if they havent heard of the one you are specifically after. May give you some other leads, ideas etc
