My OH is getting a bottle of Dalwhinnie whisky - his fave, a set of men's grooming stuff from Clinique - for the wedding lol, and a Kevin Bridges box set, he loves him and wets himself laughing at him. He has no clue about any of them - but the big surprise will be that he needs to book the 7th December off work as I've got tickets for him to go and see Kevin Bridges in Manchester.

Well, he isn't my husband til 3 weeks after Christmas, but I have bought him: a Newcastle United t shirt, a book (The Chimp Paradox by Dr someone-or-other), a colouring book (Dinosaurs with Jobs by Theo Nicole Lorenz), a selection box, a 36 Crazyfists dvd and a personalised handkerchief for the wedding. We set a £50 limit, but I've gone a few quid over.

OH didn't really celebrate Christmas as a child - with 7 children, his parents couldn't afford to do presents etc, and it's not really a big thing in Chinese culture (at least, it isn't for his family). Then his ex never used to buy presents. So, until he started dating me, he'd never had what I would call a "real" Christmas, so I kind of go a bit overboard for him. This year he has:

    *a Zelda Mastersword

    *Legend of Zelda monopoly

    *a Groom's journal

*a Boo (the dog) tin lunchbox

    *a Desk skip tidy

    *a robot tea strainer

*one of those things that beeps to tell you where your keys are

    *build-it-yourself Japanese candy

*Japanese funky-flavour kitkats (these are becoming something of a tradition)

    *salt and pepper shakers

    *a 6-in-1 pen

    *R2-D2 bottle stopper

...No wonder I never have any money! ?

A Sock Club subscription. I am so rock and roll.

We both spent a crapload on each other's 30ths this year (and both were excellent) so aren't going for anything too big this Christmas.

H is getting a pair of headphones, Fahrenheit aftershave, golf balls and a bar of his favourite chocolate. We also had a £50 limit but I couldn't get him just one gift so I may have gone a fair bit over!!

We tend to go all out at Christmas. We both love it and are enjoying being frivolous while we can. I've bought him:

A north face coat for when he's out taking photos

Gig tickets to see tv on the radio

    Blurays

    Mojito kit

    Nice toiletries and bag

Then small bits for his stocking.

God knows what he's bought me, he says it's big! He's a really good present buyer so I'm excited!

We're both usually pretty skint so we always set a spending limit (and stick to it). This year it's £75 each so he's got a Ted Baker T-shirt and a jumper. Not very exciting stuff! Mr J9 always gives me a list of things he wants as well so he's easy to buy for

My OH is the easiest person in the world to by for, I wish I would stop thinking of things to get him! Having just moved and with the wedding next year we're cutting back this Christmas but I always feel I have to get him more because the only presents he gets are off me. He gets nothing off family. So far he's got -

    His favourite aftershave

    A Nando's hamper

Beer and wine brewing kits (his new hobby)

    T-shirt

    His favourite whisky

    A couple of comedy DVD's

    Some chocolate

I'll probably get him a few more bits and that will be it.

Yeah, I find mine easy to buy for too. My brother is dead easy as well. My dad is usually the problem, cos he doesn't really do or like anything...

Lots of little bits! A watch, a tagine (the one thing he actually asked for!), a few bits for the kitchen (he cooks a lot), and a necklace he pointed out at the weekend that he liked.

H is tough to buy for, but nothing compared to my Dad and Grandad!

I told him he was only allowed to spend £50, but knowing full well he'll go over that I've gone over too!

    He has:

    A band t-shirt

A band beanie (he lives in beanies in the winter)

The entire back catalogue of Biffy Clyro

And I'll be getting some Jack Daniels fudge, or some cherries from hotel chocolat Smiley smile

I'm trying not to go overboard this year as all extra pennies are going into the honeymoon fund. He's also really hard to buy for, he has expensive taste and i'm always broke. So far, he's getting:

    Fossil wallet

    Barbour t-shirts

    Slippers

    Bourbon

....with no help from him, he never gives me any clues!

I often find this tricky! This year I couldnt think of a thing, and then I sat at work one morning and hit on some inspiration so he's got kind of honeymoon related gifts of:

pasta making cookery class (with dinner after)

    Italian cookbook

Some italian beers (which I had to source online, they better be nice)

A BBQ cookbook (which isnt Italian themed but he likes BBQs)

And then after seeing it on this thread a 6 month sock subscription?!? - I initially couldnt decide if this was genius inspired or not, I hate buying people socks, I normally think its a bit dull, but then I thought well he needs socks, who doesnt?! and theyre quite funky fun ones. He also made some joke about how as a future wife it was now my job to buy underwear and socks a little while ago....(he'll be wishing he'd made a joke about how it was my job to buy expensive watches or cashmere jumpers now)

Sometimes I wish we did what my brother n sis-in-law do, and just tell the other exactly what they want, or in the case of this year, buy it themselves and get the money back!! (Actually I dont really wish we did this, we both like surprises and we both think it takes the magic out of gifts, but it would definitely make life a damn lot easier!)

Mine is the hardest person to buy for. He doesn't care much about fashion, he doesn't read, he doesn't play computer games, he isn't into gadgets and we both tend to go out and buy whatever we want anyway.

I've got him some aftershave as his has recently run out, I'll be getting him a coat but haven't chosen it yet as he lost his nice one and he's recently started up a new business of a new magazine, so I've framed the front cover of the first edition.
