Christmas carols

Blinkered, 26 September, 2011 at 19:35 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi!

We are getting married on December 17th so are having Christmas carols instead of traditional hymns during the service and I just wondered which ones you lovely people would suggest to get people singing along? We are thinking probably Hark the Herald Angels and Away in Manager, but are struggling to decide on a third that is nice and upbeat. My favourite is It Came Upon A Midnight Clear but I'm worried that's too slow? Any opinions welcome ?

The holly and the ivy? I think it's a lovely idea to have carols - will make everyone get into the Christmas spirit a few days early!

One of my favourites is "o holy night" (not holy night ha). It is a little bit slow but a beautiful song. Try youtubing some they will have loads xx
