Hello ladies im in the middle of deciding on my menu, main- trio of meats which are gammon/beef and turkey served with all the trimmings, dessert- profiterolls. i am completely stuck on starter ideas, dont want soup as i have shakey hands and dont want to be the bride remembered for a soup stained dress! Smiley smile we have to pick something that will suit veggies aswell and also have a guest with a shellfish allergy. just to top things off we are having a christmas themed wedding so would like it to be a little festive, help!!!!!!! ?

For our starter, we are serving a demi-tasse ('half cup') of butternut squash soup and a small feta and roasted veg tart. I know you said you didn't want to go down the soup route in case you spilt it, but a demi-tasse is served in a small espresso style cup rather than in a big bowl so there is minimal risk of spillage!

I was thinking maybe baked Camembert with cranberry relish but not sure if it will be too much before the heavy main course, I'm getting hungry now lol

This is what I would have suggested or baked Bri with cranberry or maybe a mix of both definitely festive and if you do smallish portions shouldn't be to much before the main.
