Church ceremony

LittleSnowflake, 27 June, 2014 at 13:09 Posted on Planning 0 9

I've just read a church service sample on yourchurchwedding.org from start to finish and I'm already feeling nervous about repeating everything in front of guests as the vows sounded 'too romantic/slushy' I really do hate doing slushy romantic stuff in front of people (don't ask why, I've no idea).

I also noticed on the service sample it mentioned that the bride and groom kneel down for a blessing, does that HAVE to be done or is it optional?

I believe it's compulsory, unless you have mobility issues, but it's a brief moment and there's kneeling elsewhere in church services that involves everyone so you shouldn't feel too out of place.

The best option is to ask your minister. Ours had a sample order of service on his website and I emailed him letting him know what changes we wanted, then he emailed us a personalised version.

We did - it was at the altar at the front of the church so a little way away from the guests.

    It's part of the service.

Sorry ravioliruby I didn't mean for my post to sound as though I meant kneeling down was slushy or romantic. I don't think I wrote my post correctly.
