Church Wedding Music!? Help please!

MrsParsons2b, 13 April, 2011 at 11:31 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hello!

Please help me! I'm really finding it difficult to find pieces of music on the organ that I like!

Think I have selected 2 pieces so far,

Arrival of the queen sheeba for our guests arriving into the church

Pachbelle cannon in D for bridal enterance.

Now just stuck on signing the register and exiting the church...

What are you having? xxx

    Hi,

Not sure what I even want to walk down the aisle to !!

I do however want a soloist during the signing of the registar - only for a couple of songs though so not long enough. Have yo uthough about a couple of hymns just played and not sung? I think we may have 'be still for the presence of the lord'. Doesnt matter if you wanted something not religious as this is just a beautiful piece of music and quite gentle which will be great before the uplfting music to walk back down the aisle to.

There are some lovely hymns out there that sound wonderful without anyone singing them.

I made our organist play the piano and I really didnt like the sound of the organ.

He played a twinkly wersion of the Bridal March for the entrance.

Signing of the register was Yiruma - River Flows in You and Yann Tiersen - Comptine dun autre ete

Then we had the Wedding March on the organ for the exit.

Sorry - that doesn't really help you does it.... ?
