Dunno if it helps but we're having prelude from Te Deum by Charpentier. We wanted the tocatta from symphony 5 by widdor but our little church organ isnt up to it! Both sound fantastishe imo.

Probably not much help as we arent having the organ, we are having modern songs played by a guitar and with worship singers, but for walking up the aisle and the recessional we are having Love Came Down by Ben Cantalon.

This is great - thanks Smiley smile

Doesn't have to be religious either, so we've got options.

    Keep 'em coming!

Depends what organ and organist you've got.

Put the names suggested into youtube and you get a few other similar suggestions.

Finale to any of the Widor Symphonies will do (5th is the most common toccata)

I really liked Mulet Carillon-Sortie but got outvoted by OH as it's too "frilly" for him

More "fun" but still good is the Sortie in Eb by Lefebure-Wely

    Dubois Toccata also appealed.

It's an electronic piano or organ, I can't remember. So those ones won't be done justice!

Can be something on a CD, something modern.

    Ahhh!

We're having "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" (i know it says arrival but i always think of it as a recessional type piece!)

If the organist can't play it we'll be doing it on CD!!

    How about this..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_2FKcorqqE

Is the music from the film Babe 'If I had words' which is very lovely, but this is the grown up version as it were!

Just a slightly different thought from standard!

We had a civil ceremony and had a string quartet playing Viva La Vida by Coldplay as we walked back up the aisle together - i loved it because it was modern, a bit different and everyone loves it - also very dramatic!

Some good choices here. If you want some more options that other couples have requested at various wedding ceremonies you can see a list on my site https://www.martyncroston.com/repertoire.php
