civil ceremony question??

Hi everyone,

I understand that the registrar need to see the bride and groom up to 30 mins before the ceremony. The only problem is I don't want h2b to see me in my dress prior to the ceremony so how does it work? Will they see you seperately i.e in my room whilst I get ready or do I have to rush into my dress after they have spoken to us together??

Panic not! They will see you separately on the morning. You'll probably need to specify this on your booking forms etc ?

They will speak to you seperately just before the ceremony.

Hi,

You can relax - they won't infringe upon the time old tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding ceremony!!

Usually the registrars will speak to the groom in the ceremony room itself and will speak to the bride in her room (if she is getting ready at the venue) or in a separate room if the bride is getting ready at home and driving straight to the ceremony.

And please don't panic about the timeframe either...

The Bride is nearly always spoken to second and it's NEVER 30 mins before the ceremony, maybe 15-20mins at the very tops! Their questions take about 5 minutes and from you they'll go and sit in the ceremony room, so they don't like to twiddle their thumbs too long before you're due to walk the walk!
