Following on from the US food thread and your comment that there was nothing you hadn't managed to find out here...(and since you managed to track down muscovado sugar) have you seen any treacle on your travels? I can't find it anywhere and H hasn't got a clue what I am talking about. I can't make gingerbread cake without it!

You might have stumped me now!! ?

I haven't ever gone looking for treacle, so can't provide a definitive answer. I shall keep an eye out for you.

Failing that, we're back in the UK next week, want me to pick up some for you?

Thanks for the offer, but its OK - there is no mad rush for it and we'll probably get home some time in Oct/November ourselves (H has a conference in Brighton so I am thinking I might go along for the ride!) Its not like I have time to bake much these days anyway... it was something I was looking for a few months ago and today's post reminded me!

Let me know if you see any around the Boston area though. I know Wholefoods, Trader Joes and Shaws don't have it.

I'll keep an eye out. I've seen Golden Syrup in the past, so you never know!

Yeah, golden syrup is relaively easy to find these days - Wholefoods and Shaws both have it (it didn't used to be when I first moved here!)
