Clean 9 Detox - Desperation!

2013_Bride_, 8 July, 2013 at 10:36 Posted on Planning 0 6

Well, wedding is fast approaching and I'm definitely not what I want to be weight wise.

I hate fad / quick fixes but feeling desperate this weekend so I've been looking at the Clean 9 Detox.

Claims you can lose between 6-12lb in 9 days.

I feel like I need something where the end is in sight (9 days!) if that makes sense?

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else was trying anything similar to shift some lbs before their big day?

Or if anyone knew of anyone who had done this one, what their verdict was, etc.

I can't believe I'm even considering entertaining it... !

How long have you got til your wedding? I have just over 10 weeks until mine & 7 weeks until my dress fitting & I've failed to lose any weight this year!! I'm so angry with myself & I'm now in the position of frantically trying to lose weight in the run up to the wedding.

Today I am starting green coffee bean extract & raspberry ketone diet supplements. Reviews are mixed but they're supposed to curb your appetite, speed your metabolism up, help your body burn more fat & give you more energy. I will also be eating sensibly & trying to do more exercise. I want to lose a stone in the next 7 weeks. I've done it before so I'm hoping to do it again! My dress won't fit as nicely as it should if I don't achieve it!!

The clean 9 does work, my friend used to sell it. I was going to try it but couldn't afford it. If I'm still nowhere near goal in about 5 weeks time I will find the money!! I think you have to watch what you eat when it's over though because you'll just put it all straight back on x

I'm 3 weeks on Saturday. My fitting is on Saturday but I try the amendments on 1 week before so I'm hoping if I've lost more they can take it in more!

I know, this is why I never wanted to do anything like this, but you know what it is like....

I just wonder if I'll look back on my photos and wish I had!

If you wanted to drop Jo an email I'm sure she can talk you through it to help you decide if it's for you.

I know she won't be one for doing any kind of hard sell or anything!

    Hi ladies,

I am a distributor and registered HIB for the clean 9 plan. I wouldn't sell anything I haven't done myself. This is primarily a detox and not a diet but the weight is an added bonus.

This is my results after 9 days and I am happy to say the weight stays off due to your attitude to food and exercise changes after the 9 days. Any questions or queries please contact me. advise you speak to me before purchasing to ensure it is suitable for you.

Another option could be the rosemary Connelly starter diet. You eat 1200 kcals a day for the first 2 weeks as a kick start to the main diet (usually around 1400 kcals a day). It's very simple 200kcal breakfast, 300 kcal lunch and 400 kcal dinner, 2x 50 kcal snacks and 200 kcals to use on milk/ low fat yoghurt. I've done it a few times and lost 3-4lbs a week and because you eat normal foods it doesn't seem too extreme - more of a healthy lifestyle push. They also encourage you to do a bit more activity - a gym class or brisk walking etc. there is usually a food plan in the magazines so you can do it without having to sign up to anything.

i don't work for them - its just my lose half a stone in a couple of weeks standby!
