Coach Quotes

Beckyv83, 24 February, 2010 at 12:41 Posted on Planning 0 6

I had no idea the price of a coach but the amount the 2 quotes have varied in sooo funny!

Right the journey would be

Pick up day guests at 12pm and drive 30-45 mins to venue.

Pick up evening guests at 6.15pm and drive 30-45 mins to venue

2 return journeys between 11.30pm -12.30am

It is a 53 seater coach.

So one compnay i call gives me the whole sales speel like im stupid, telling me how i need a state of the art coach with a lav and a tv. And im like mate no one is going to be watching tv on a 30 min journey and if if they want to i am not paying extra for that!! Then he goes on about how the coach that brings them needs to look the business, uh no, it just needs to get them there safely!!

so he wants £825!!!!!!!!!

2nd company i call is a local compnay and they want just under £300, now that sound better!!

Any body else paying for a caoch?? Any quotes?

£300 sounds very cheap! Book it now before they realise!

We are hiring a coach too.

From reception to register office and back again (hour each way) and waiting time is costing us £285. So your £300 is not bad.

Andy - the first company was Uk coach hire??

The one for £300 was coopers.

Geordiebarbie/Mrs Spink - I will most definitely go for the £300 one! Ive tried one more and it was £600 so its looking like £300 is good.

    Thanks Vickstix

Ive got one more thing to try, my parents know a coach driver so i may be able to get him to hire a coach himself for cheap and then drive it?? Not sure at the mo tho.

Think i will provisonally book the £300 one.

I'd rather spend £300 than rely on a family friend! It's prob cheaper than hiring just a coach.

Difference in prices could also relate to whether it is a national or local company/

We've booked a 53 and a 29 seater to take guests form the church to the reception and return at the end of the evening and it's costing £250 with a local company.

National companies were quoting £300 plus per coach!

You should confirm they have seatbelts as well as being clean and reliable.
