colour coordination

May2012, 13 December, 2011 at 17:48 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi there, we have booked our venue for the reception but I now have the problem that the chairs at the venue are are dark red and our colour scheme as such is ivory and lilac/purple. Do they go together or should we think about chair covers? Thanks May2012

Our colour scheme is black, white and silver and the chairs at our venue are red and black. I figured that with coats on the back of chairs they'd end up covered anyway! So have just left them as they are. It also saves about £200!

It really depends how co-ordinated you want to be and whether having red visible would bother you.

I have same problem red chairs and a purple colour scheme! We are planning on having the chair covers at the minute but I wouldn't be too bothered if we didnt end up having them due to budget etc. They do look nice tho!

Initially I said I wouldnt pay out money for 'unessential items' like chair covers...but then changed my mind when I seen our venue as it is quite dark inside and the chair covers really brightened the place up! I'd say if you can have them without sacrificing anything else then go for it, but I doubt anyone else would think anything of it if you had the red chairs x
