Colour scheme

Nervousbride, 10 June, 2011 at 12:41 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi

I am getting married am thinking of having the bridesmaids in a lialic dress with a deep purple waist band. I hav been to a few weddings and a few have had this purple colout as their theme. Do you think this colout is a bit played out now?

Also, what kind of bouquet shoudl I go for to tie in with the bridesmaids dresses? I fancy quite a long flowing bouquet!

Help me please XXXXXX

Purple, Lilac & every variation on the colour always has & always will be popular. The colours are one of the most requested but lately Aubergine, Plum & Eggplant seem to be making a breakthrough over Cadbury Purple.

Here are a few I have done in the past:

Depends whether you consider the colours to be 'common' and therefore less desirable, or 'popular' and therefore fashionable. You could say thats true of almost any colour scheme these days. They do look loveley together though. If it helps my mum is having exactly those colour for her MOB outfit?

    Whats your alternative?

Hi I appreciate your views. I just dont want anyone coming and thinking - not another purple wedding. I do like the colours though. Might just stay with them

I would say that it is your wedding and you should have the colours you want, you will afterall be looking at the pictures forever!

Purple is popular but thats because it is the best colour! (Ok it is my fave colour!)
