Colour scheme inspiration please! What are you having?

We're having hunter green and silver. H2b wanted British racing green and 'hunter' is the closest shade you can get in dresses etc! The silver bit is to tie in with our Sci Fi geek theme! I had a flash of inspiration earlier and started thinking about having little silver stars as confetti instead of petals......

We're getting married in November, so have gone with dark red, with cream and gold as our colour scheme. It was one of the few 'winter' colours that my OH would wear!

Any excuse for a flash!!

Here is the inspiration for my colour scheme

My main colour is hot pink with orange accents. My dress is ivory though so my OH will have a grey suit with ivory waist coat and ivory cravat. His buttion hole will be pink. So if you want pink you could always try and sway OH by explaining he wouldn't actually have to wear pink!!??

VickyJay - that pinkness is fab! Just not sure if OH would agree...

My other flash of inspiration was from the McLaren colours (we both adore the Grand Prix) - orange and silver... What do you think?

I like orange (as you can tell) and I like silver. I also think its really nice to pick a colour scheme that has personal meaning to you both. I was finding it hard to imaging the colours together so I had a google....

And I love it!!! In all honesty I think it would depend on the time of year you get married though - it's very spring/summer.

TBH My best mate's B2B has been through so many colour schemes already (chocolate,purple and now teal) so who knows what they'll end up with!

I've just seen a lush "Petrol Blue" BM dress on Wedding TV but it was like a lovely grey-blue so now I'm really confused as to what petrol blue is!!

Mine is a vintage/shabby chic theme. Main colours will be Ivory, dusky pink and light sage green.

My OH is the same im a pink girl but he refuses to wear pink or for his boys to be in pink lol so im going with pink and champagne/gold for like a romance theme x

Well im not really having a colour scheme......my dress is ivory and my daughters will be too, oh is sorting out his suits etc and i wont know until the day what he and my son are wearing (oh crumbs!!)

as for decoration at the venue i have taken on the ridiculous task of making 1000 paper cranes (the bird not a digger!!) and having them all over the marquee...they are made from wrapping paper so all different and very colourful!

Our colour scheme is baby pink and ivory/cream. My h2b is not a pink person, but he was happy to go along with it.

He looks very smart in his grey suit and pink waistcoat and he liked it.

The colour is not really in your face and I love it.

I haven't got pics together to flash... but will do in a few days if I get time to do it.

The room we are getting married in is yellow so we have decided to have midnight blue for the bridesmaid dresses and the mens waistcoats. This way my OH can also say we have theme it for his favourite motorbike racer (Valentino Rossi) who races in yellow and blue ha. Although he is changing teams next year so we wont particularly be matching oops!

We are having black, ivory and orange. My one bridesmaid - my daughter - is in ivory and we are both carrying orange cala lily and orchid bouquets. The men are wearing black suits with orange cravats for the groomsmen and dads and with ivory cravat for H2B.

It's an Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dress. Their site is awesome because you can click the colour table and it changes any dress in the collection to that colour so you can actually see what they look like. I love just playing on there ?

Our February wedding theme is navy and silver. I may include bright pink in a few things, or a lighter blue. When we were viewing venues in June most of the venues were set up in prep for a wedding that day and were pink, definitely a popular summer colour.

We are getting married 2nd september next year and our colour scheme is brown and pink, i love pink but h2b isnt too keen! so then we thought about cadburys purple but when we went to look at suits he actually didnt like the purple cravat etc!!! so we have gone for the brown and pink, the men will have brown cravats and hot pink orchid buttonholes so not too much pink for them to wear!! we are having more of a hot pink like this:

I having Platinum silver and pink! OH half is refusing to wear a pink flower so we'll be having some ivory in there aswell!

I love the orange theme very nice for that time of year.

Im having dusky pink ive managed talk my OH in to it and he actually WANTS to wear a pink waistcoat i thought he was going to want to wear cream

We're having a water theme so our colours are turquiose/aqua with silver. I am not too worried about it all being exactly the same hue though so it will also probably have various watery type blues and greens in some of the decorations. I haven't spoken to my bridesmaid since I decided on the colours though so if she really hates the idea of a turquoise dress I am happy for her to choose another colour. I don't have a mood board yet - I should do one though - they always look so professional all the ones I see flashed up here.
