Colour scheme to match Venue!!

2016Bride, 25 August, 2013 at 22:09 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi all,

I'm new here to hitched! I'm getting married in June 2016 at The Worsley Court House.

I have everything planned in my head already! But the one thing I can't decide on is the colour scheme that will 'match' the venue!!

Have any of you married there or been a guest there? Any ideas on colour schemes to suit it? We are also working with a VERY tight budget so any advice and tips on money saving would be most appreciated!

Thanks!! xx

Hi and welcome to Hitched! I've had a quick Google of your venue and the images that are coming up show lots of different colour schemes (purple, gold, ivory) in the hall and none of them look out of place. Other than the carpet, it seems to be mainly wooden decor.

Your colour scheme really needs to be based around you and your choices rather than trying to match the venue as, trust me, no-one will notice or remember the carpet !! If you're having bridesmaids, then it needs to be a colour that suits them, then choose the flowers and then everything else falls into line quite easily after that. Also, if you're working to a tight budget, don't make it harder (and more expensive) for yourselves by trying to over-match things. Hope that helps.

Hi I was Maid of Honour at my best friends wedding at this venue and the colour scheme was purple. However, I don't think it really matters. It's such a beautiful venue and I'm sure any colour scheme would look great, so just go with your preference Smiley smile

My friend didn't have a huge budget and still managed to make the venue look gorgeous. She hired glass bowls and mirrors from a local florist, and filled them with greenery and purple iris as centrepieces. She had glass tea light holders around the vases. Very simple but effective x
