Colour Schemes - Help Needed!!

HelenLouise, 16 January, 2010 at 18:35 Posted on Planning 0

Hello Everyone

Hope you can help me!

Getting married October this year, and today went with my Fiance to look at suits so I can try to get a colour scheme together.
Originally I was thinking black tails with Gold & Mocha colours for waistcoat and cravette, but when we went into shop we both fell in love with a Coffee Waistcoat with a Mink coloured cravette - he looked absolutely gorgeous, it suited him perfectly...................
However, now I'm struggling to think about what colour bridesmaids dresses to have as well as chair sashes, favour ribbons etc etc!!

Will gold/mocha still be ok for bridesmaids, favours and sashes? Or should I be thinking chocolate or ivory colours or maybe a different colour all together? My other half now think we should be steering away from gold...

Any advice and/or ideas would be really appreciated!!

Thank you in advance x

    Hello,

It all depends on what shades for mink and coffee there are, I would suggest asking the suit shop for a swatch of each fabric, that way you can compaire it to sample colours for the bridesmaids...(I did this when trying to get a match for my dark purple theme)..I also always have the swatches in my handbag to compaire to anything I see (Invites, shoes, cake ribbon etc)

If you still want to have gold in the colour scheme, then try to make sure its in more than one place, i.e. not just chair cover sash in gold, or it may look like you just made do with the nearst colour.

I hope I have helped you

    Katie x
