confetti cones - on virtually nil budget??

emmamc01, 13 July, 2010 at 22:14 Posted on Planning 0 9

Just over 6 weeks to go and im all spent out - i just looked on ebay hoping to find some cheap confetti cones that i can assemble an fill myself (with petals from the garden) for a few quid - but even on there they seem pricey??

Does anyone know how to make them? Or know a cheaper place where i can just get the cones??

Thanks in advance xx

Hiya, Im gonna make mine myself out of those doiley(sp) things! Im gonna cut them in half and twist round to make a cone. Im trying to find silver ones at the moment, but white will do. BUT Ive looked everywhere, supermarkets etc, cant find them! ?

The MIL will know where to get them I expect!!

    Hi - thanks for that

I brought a pack of 60 doilys today from poundland - but i dont think they are strong enough to form a cone -

However if i stuck them to some coloured card - the colour would show thru the gaps and it would give them some strength???

    mmmmmm now thats another thought???

Can you buy a few sheets of wrapping paper and make some up yourself? Or else use newspaper for a quirky look?

I found a load of templates here http://rubberstamping.about.com/od/projectcalendarthemes/tp/weddingconetemplate.htm

how about putting them in the organza bags? You can get them really cheap on ebay as well!! It prob wouldnt take as many to fill them either!
