Confetti when getting married in one place?

katiechops, 18 September, 2012 at 16:04 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi,

What did/are you going to do those brides that got married in the same room as the night do, in other words after the ceremony were not really going anywhere (like when you leave a church) so when do people get the opportunity to throw confetti?

I have pretty much organised all the big things so am now clearly overthinking the little things with 9 months to go ha ha xx

Our venue will only allow confetti outside, so you may want to ask your venue if this is a particular stipulation of theirs.

Will you be having reception drinks after the ceremony? Does the venue have grounds for photo opportunities? Because that would probably be the best time/place to do a confetti shot!

We're leaving the ceremony room for reception drinks, hopefully in the garden which is where we'll have confetti too I guess. If it ends up being inside due to weather I'm not sure what the venue will think!

Thats true I hadnt asked the venue, Id best check. I didnt even think about it until I saw something on 'confetti shot photo's'.

and yes there is a garden, thats a possibility, theres a nice spot there. I suppose I just feel a bit daft ha. Its not everyday you say to your friends and family, right here a load of paper, throw this at me when I tell you too ha.

I should really just ban myself from the internet as I keep seeing things!! x

Confetti is always good outside, just after the group/family shots... People get to throw their confetti then off to get a drink, leaving you to concentrate on your romantic photos!

    Hope that helps!

After the ceremony all the guests got a drink and went into the garden, then we went out and got it chucked on us then. We then had the drinks reception and photos in the gardens.

If outside isn't an option, consider bubbles.....(although not good on wooden floors as it can be slippery)

This is a possibility although wedding bubbles are safe.

Confetti can stain if there is moisture in the air, so do be aware of that too.....
