Confused - banns/giving notice - last minute panic!

maryg111, 26 April, 2011 at 09:01 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi all, I hope i'm worrying about nothing but just had a horrible thought over the weekend and thought I would just check it out with you guys!

We are getting married in a church of england church and have had our banns read in the church we are getting married in and our local parish church - we don't also need to give notice of our marriage do we???? I have gone from excited to panic mode so am hopefully just being silly!!!!

Thanks girls xx

No need to panic, you do not need to give notice as far as I am aware. and OMG you are my date twin. How are the preps going ?

We didn't give notice, just the banns in each church (technically that is the giving of notice I think!)

As long as you have Banns certificates from the parish you both live in (2 if you live in a different parish) and then one for the parish your getting married in, if different, then you don't need to worry about any other notices / licences.

I wish I could say the same, that i have finished everything, keep having wedding nightmares and I have a feeling I forgot something. It's all the little things that i am worried about, the ones you don't get on the checklists. Time is moving fast but i am still very excited and nervous every emotion under the sun i think i am feeling lol...Praying the weather stays as great on the 14th though...
