Cornwall wedding venue wanted

hughwatkins, 15 September, 2014 at 19:56 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi,

Does anyone have any venues to recommend.

We are looking ideally for a beachside venue that can hold 100-120 sit down. We'd prefer something with character and more informal - not a standard hotel. Something like a pub, old house etc hopefully without a marquee.

Any suggestions really welcome.

Thanks

I photographed a wedding at Easter at Tregenna Castle Hotel, St Ives. Take a look at their website!

    Hello hughwatkins

We played a wedding recently at Carnglaze Cavern in Liskeard. It may not be everyones cup of tea but it was certainly unique! .. I thought it was a really cool idea

    have a look..

I got married at Polpier House earlier this month. You wouldn't be able to do a sit down meal for 100 but the facilities & view might make up for that!

It's not right by the beach, but we went off with our tog for photos afterwards at an amazing little (practically private) beach a few minutes drive away.

My best friend got married at St Ives Harbour Hotel and Spa in April. Now it is a hotel but the hotel is fabulous and the views over the beach are amazing! Plus they have a lovely decked outside area which in the summer would be amazing!

I'm unsure of how many they can seat, but thought id mention it as it is a lovely place!

Polhawn Fort. Has its own beach and some accommodation, people can also camp there. My BIL does the catering.

Again, it's a hotel but we've recently stayed at Fistral Beach hotel. It was amazing. The staff were very attentive so imagine wedding planning with them would be a breeze.
