corset.. how tight to go.?

goingtobemrsmatthews, 13 November, 2013 at 18:49 Posted on Planning 0 11

I tried my dress on yesterday and had my friend do up the back...i wanted her to get it as tight as possible to suck me in!..but she says she thinks the ribbon looks nicer when done looser...plus the comfort factor...

Do you think this looks okay? Also she sugested getting a longer piece of ribbon as the one that is not long enough for a bow?!

thanks Smiley smile

You add flashes by clicking on the pic of a film reel above the text box.

It's hard to see from your avatar but basically it should be comfortable & allow you to sit down. Don't make yourself faint by having it too tight!!!

It does look lovely the way it's done there but I'll be having mine as tight as it will go without me passing out! I want a teeny waist! I think the whole point of a corset is to have it done reasonably tight, having it loose you'll lose the shape that it's meant to give.

As tight as you can while still being able to breathe, move, sit down and eat without feeling sick after two mouthfuls!

I also found that drinking quite a lot of bubbly also made things rather uncomfortable!

It looks lovely in the pic.....nice waist to hip ratio, which is def what you want! But I'd agree and say a slightly bigger bow would look better...not too big though as your dress is quite detailed. And gorgeous! Smiley smile xx

Yes it looks good ,enough to breath and sit comfy and no rolls of skin to come over the top (back boobs I think they are called ).
