Your best bet is going for things like lean meat (chicken/turkey breast, lean beef) or fish, and complex carbs. Wholewheat pasta tastes exactly the same as white pasta, but brown rice is certainly not even close. If you're going to have bread make sure its wholemeal, but aim to keep carbs to a minimum. What you really need to cut out is sugar - unless its fruit. Sugar and salt (which makes you retain water) are the things you need to cut out, but allow yourself a small treat at the end of the week if you've stuck to it. My major advice - diet buddy. My fiance is mine and so far I've lost 2 stone. Oh, and plenty of water, and only weigh/measure yourself once a week, in the morning at the same time each week Smiley smile I'm studying nutrition.

Finding a diet buddy is defo a good idea! I had tried healthy eating/exercising alone in the past and only lasted a month or so. A friend and I decided to become diet buddies - we started in August and have both lost almost 2 stone. Remember, losing weight takes time. Allow yourself crap food when you are craving it otherwise you will have a big binge! Good luck x

Maybe it would have helped to say I don't eat breakfast, don't drink at all one small glass of juice in a morning and then eat at lunch maybe that's where I go wrong for a starter x

Oh, my mom is trying to loose weight dint know if I could use her as a buddy??

Breakfast is entirely important! I always start the day with wholegrain porridge oats and homemade strawberry and blueberry compote, it has no sugar and it really keeps me full. You can use anyone as a diet buddy, but my top suggestion would be to use someone that will keep you on track when you want to waver - my OH is drill-sergeant mean about it!

I am not sure how much weight you want to lose but it s important to detox to kick start your weight loss. I am happy to advise on this as have lots of ladies who have successfully done this and kept the weight off.

The aloe does take getting used too, fruit juice or sugar free squash with it helps though. Most women dislike the taste but love the results.

I did the 30 day shred with healthy eating before my wedding, I did have one day off a week for a splurge otherwise it was no fun. Tracking my calories on My fitness Pal app was helpful too. x

I like to switch it up so that I don’t get bored of my routine, it helps me stay motivated with my workout regimen. So far this spring I’ve been running a bit but also doing workout DVD’s at home. I find that when I have more exercise options there's something that I can get involved in everyday.
