Could I wear this?

Chicken, 23 October, 2008 at 14:21 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

Obviously those that know me or have seen pictures ... or feel free to just guess. If so, what footwear?

I don't wish to embarrass you Chicken, but that's the women's clothing section you've got there. Perhaps you want to edit the link?

It's a snazzy pullover, no? Was going to wear over (men's) jeans and a shirt. Hmmm.

    Dunno, Mogic ?

Hmmmm, yes you could although I have no idea where you'd wear it to! I'd go for opaque tights and either ballet flats or sloughy mid-calf length black suede boots (I think you want to avoid any shinyness in your footwear so you won't look like a christmas tree). I'd worry about excess norkage in that though - the high neckline and the fact that sequins don't lie flat over boobs could end up looking horrendous. Def try it on before you buy it.

Ooh, that is lovely. I agree with Sophie about large norks- I can't wear high necklines like that over my 34Fs without coming over all matronly ? Shoes- I would second flats, nothing flashy or showy.

Don't you have big man boobs chook? I have medium verging on large ladyboobs and find shifts make me look a bit top heavy. (ach, Ill be honest, I just prefer to get them out).

Very nice! I have no idea if it would suit you but I'd say wear with block colour tights and shoes like this http://www.newlook.co.uk/1554543/155454324/ProductDetails.aspx

What a fab dress, it's lovely. I would prob wear it with black opaques and mat black platform heels to lengthen my legs, but I'm a short arse? agree about the boob thing though.

I agree. The dress is really lovely. I couldn't wear it though, as my backside is rather large. ☹️

Those shoes are very nice too - different. I think they go really well with the dress.

    That is the right answer.

Cheers all. I like the shoes but would buckle immediately.

    See what you did there?

I don't think those shoes are right for the dress anyway - too corporate-y. Something like this

    or

    http://www.office.co.uk/womens/office/anais_hi_bootee/10/5282/14423/1

    would work imo.

Fab frock! I'd stear clear of shoes and go for plain boots, but if shoes are the order of the day something like ankle boots like these (but maybe plainer) with black tights.

Huh, now I want it too, and I'm going shopping tomorrow to a place where they have French Connection. I'd wear it with opaque black tights and these shoes: https://www.office.co.uk/womens/office/real_high_platform_sandal/37/4120/13001/1
