Craft stuff

Allgold78, 1 August, 2010 at 20:14 Posted on Planning 0 18

If I'm going to make my own invites, decorate place cards and table names etc where is the best place to shop for bits and pieces? Where has everyone got their stuff from?

We have a online wedding craft website stocking card blanks, ribbon, diamante buckles, embellishment, envelopes and all craft essentials for making your own wedding stationery. I am sure that you will enjoy making your invites, place cards and table names.

    Ebay is great for everything.

I made my own invitations, place cards, menus, table plan, thank you cards, well everything actually - got all the card, inserts and envelops from www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk and can't recommend them highly enough. They have LOADS of different types of card and shapes too - you can order a swatch pack from them of all their card colours and types. Thats just for the card.

    Hope this helps.

    Ebay ebay ebay!

I got the cards, envelopes and sparkly bits from ebay for about a tenner and then got ribbon and punches etc from Hobbycraft. Overall prob spent about £25 on 120 invitations.

Do you have any idea what sort of thing you want to do yet?

Hobbycraft is expnsive for the card, and quite expensive if you buy ready made toppers, but good for buying patterened paper and ribbon etc. My invites and orders of service are embossed by stamping and heating, and I got all the stuff from hobbycraft. I got my card on line.

    Hi

I did everything myself - got the cards, placenames, menus etc from www.rednell.com as they did all the bits ready to assemble. For my table plan i went to a picture framers and got them to cut the mount then did the rest myself getting stuff from an art shop and using the pc.

Really happy with everything as it is individual and just so me and my H2B.

    Hope this helps

In my head I have exactly what I want as the invitation and save the date - getting it onto paper might be another thing, lol. I have picked up a couple of cheap sheets of card from town so I'll try a mock up and give you a flash tonight if I can but I certainly wouldn't want to buy in bulk from town. Will check out those online stores, thanks.
