Crafty flash!

*Mrs M to be*, 11 September, 2013 at 18:23 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hey everyone

I just wanted to flash the results of my crafty hour I've just had!

Totally unnecessary prettiness and quite early (wedding not til next August!) but I keep seeing all these lovely pics of the dress hanging on a lovely hanger on the morning of the wedding. I was determined I was having them but looking online last night, they're not cheap to buy at all so thought I'd knock some up myself.

Thought I'd have this one for me and then do 2 for the bm's and 1 for my Mum.

Like I said, totally unnecessary but I love all these pretty little touches! :o)

Love love love!!!!! I have been considering buying hangers but just can't justify the £15.

I'll put in an order for 5 please ha.

I really like them, were the expensive or hard to make?? I'm not crafty at all.

Yeah, the ones I saw online last night were £15 each!

It honestly wasn't difficult at all! It took me 20 minutes to do that hanger and it wasn't £15! :o)

I bought a role of this really wide lace fabric and cut it into slimmer lengths and then just wrapped it all around the hanger. I didn't even have to get the glue gun out. Just wrapped it tight and tied it. Made a ruffle bow for the top and tied the flowers on.

OH keeps on at me to start up a little ebay business or something. I love all this crafty stuff and now I'm realising how much save the dates, invitations and pretty things like this (all the things I'm making) sell for I'm seriously thinking about it!

If you're not crafty and you haven't got the patience you might get fed up and wish you'd never started it but I would always recommend trying to make this sort of stuff yourself. Saves a fortune!

    Oh wow!! They're fab!

I don't have a crafty bone in my body (which has been proven after my disastrous DIY invitations) therefore I am incredibly jealous of people who can make pretty things!!
