Crazy Dream

jen-lou, 13 February, 2014 at 13:53 Posted on Planning 0 6

Ok, I'm having a bit if a rubbish day, so thought i'd share with you all my crazy wedding dream I had last night.

(just for context, my mum and dad are divorced, but my dad lives only a 5 minutes walk from my mum's house. My aunt in the dream married my uncle when I was in my late teens and she lives in Devon so I very rarely see her.)

It was one of those strange dreams were i jump from one dream to the next, so here goes.

It is the morning of the wedding and I am at my dads house, I think we had been to a party the night before, and my dad, aunt and nan are there and a few other people, I can't remember who they were. When my aunt says oh yes, i've brought the bridesmaid dresses for you and when I look hanging there are 4 blue "shinny" material bridesmaid dresses and I was shocked and saying to her, "why did you get blue, i've never once mentioned the colour blue to you" and her response was "you said blueish grey in your letter" and I was thinking to myself I know I never, I said grey or silver. When I turned to look at her during this conversation she was already dressed to go to the wedding and she was dressed as a gnome....yes a gnome, with pointy hat the lot. Before I could process that I looked at the time and it was 1pm the horse drawn car (a car not a cart) had turned up and I was still my my dressing gown and slippers hair in a towel, next thing I know i'm running behind the horse drawn car to my mums house to get ready..still in my slippers the lot panicing i'm going to be late...then the dream changed..te he he.

God only knows what my dreams are going to be like the closer it gets. The one thing that is making me chuckle is my aunt dressed as a gnome. Dreams are funny.?

So...come one....who wants to share their crazy wedding dreams with me? ?

Amazing, a horse drawn car and gnomes, that's some cheese before bed you ate! I dream a lot anyway but last night I had my first weddingy related one too, band anxiety! They turned up to our reception, which was in a school canteen for some reason, and they looked nothing like they did on their website, about 20 years older, paunchy, with cheesy shiny suits on and comedy massive wigs, and the bass player had the um, sh*ts and keep running to the loo and all the guests were saying how dreadful they were. We havn't even booked them yet and the weddings not til next year, hope it's not the start of dreams to come!

Well im glad im not the only one having weird dreams! I've had numerous ones about my wedding, all aisle related for some reason! 1. Started walking down isle and h2b turned around and began hysterically laughing! 2. Started walking down isle only to be overtaken by another bride who married h2b!! 3. H2b mentioned he hopes the venue doesnt flood with all this weather, (it is on the edge of the river frome) went there last week and the whole of the outside terrace was under water so i dreamed that i had to swim down the aisle with the ruddy ducks!!!! 4th and final - played my bridal entrance song to my mom and she asked if it was a death march (it isnt my mom is a fruit loop sometimes) anyway then went and dreamed i walked down the isle in a black wedding dress and veil and i was a skeleton!!!!

Gawd knows what will be next...?

Glad I'm not the only one having crazy wedding dreams! Ok, mine are both about not being ready on time.

The first one I was getting ready in this really old creepy house that was opposite the ceremony venue (but not in real life). I overslept in the morning and Dad was moaning at me to get ready so I went to have a bath and the only one was an old tin bath but some weird old hilly billy bloke was in it smoking a pipe. So I had to rush to get ready and my CMB who is doing my hair had already left so I was getting ready alone and had this weird victorian style wedding dress and because I didn't have time to do my hair I put on this lace juliet cap.I was running 2 hours late and ran across the road to get to the ceremony and H2B and everyone else was leaving so I was shouting "I'm here" but no-one could here me. Then I woke up!

The second one, no idea why but I was running late again and was having to quickly straighten my hair rather than having the style I am planning and had to do my make up in the car than was being driven by old style romany gyspies.

I do love your aunt being dressed as a gnome, I want to dream of my aunt dressing as a gnome now :-)

Not getting married till 9pm and the wedding coordinator coming in but to take over my wedding for. Photoshoot with her new born baby and of course my guest and groom turning into zombies xxx

I dreamt that I was spending my wedding night in my MILs spare room. My dream started with me parking my car in a muddy grass covered car park facing a field with horses in. Husband and I were walking to his mums house, and went past my parents local pub at pub kicking out time and got embarrassed about having to explain to an old school friend why I was in a wedding dress!

In reality, we are spending the wedding night at the reception venue - almost 200 miles from my MIL house, but about 10 miles from my parents. There is no chance I will be driving after my reception, and will not care who sees me in my wedding dress!

I believe that everyone has his own experience of having crazy dreams such as like this. Perhaps, not just one but several times I had such crazy dreams. Though there are scientific explanations/theories about dreams, still we ask ourselves why, what does it suppose to mean, etc. In fact, it somehow affects our decision making in one way or another.
