Crenen de la Mer recommendations - sorry know it's already been done

Livi, 5 February, 2009 at 12:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I am looking to treat myself and buy something amazing for my skin at the weekend and thought I may treat myself to something from Creme de la Mer. Ideally I'm looking for something anti-wrinkle/anti-aging (getting on a bit!) and for combination skin. I'm not really into face washes tho - prefer to use the wipes.

I know some of you are users - what would you recommend? Oh and is it worth the money?!

Thanks

I would only bother with the face cream in the jar, or the lotion in a pump if you wanted something lighter. The woman at the counter in John Lewis Oxford Street virtually admitted that the eye cream was pretty pointless as it was just a lighter version of the face cream so it spread more easily and didn't drag the skin, but if you warm the face cream sufficiently in your hands, it spreads fine anyway. I wouldn't bother with the Serum or the other products they do. Lip balm for £35, are you having a laugh? ?

I don't rate Creme de la Mer at all!

I do rate Trish McEvoy though, her products are amazing!!! If I was you I'd buy:

    http://www.kissandmakeupny.com/vitaminccream.html

    http://www.kissandmakeupny.com/beautybooster.html

http://www.kissandmakeupny.com/evskbehypa.html (these are the best thing in the world for spots and time of the month! I used one a week)

I can't afford them at the moment ?

Sorry, forgot to answer the 'is it worth the money' question - I can only bring myself to buy it either Duty Free, so you save about £15, or when I have House of Fraser loyalty vouchers or they're doing a points promotion, and I'm feeling a bit flush! When I have a jar, I use it every day, but I don't rush out and buy a replacement pot when it runs out, I have to slum it for a while using Lush or Origins ?
