Crest Whitening strips-has anyone used them?

Selenalee69, 23 August, 2012 at 12:34 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Hi all- wanted to brighten my teeth up a bit and can't afford the £300 do get the kit from our dentist. Someone had recommended the whitening strips to me,but when I looked online there are lots of sites, all different types and prices and I am a bit stumped as what ones would be best. I don't want to end up with blue choppers like Simon Cowell! Has anyone bought these and can tell me which are the best ones? Thanks !

I used them as a top up to my whitening treatment & they definately enhanced.

I use them once a week every 2 /3 month just to refreshen & they really do brighten them - I get comments!

Def worth it. I got them for £80 on the web last year for my wedding. Cant mind website but it was someone from hitched who suggested it so hopefully they will be on here soon!

Probably me! I do bang on about them from time to time. Only because they're so ruddy good.

It's the Supreme strength that you want. Amazing results. Just as good as when I had my teeth professionally whitened, but at a fraction of the cost.

Supreme strength, eh ? -and you're absolutely sure there will be no glow in the dark Cowell effect ? No, joking aside-there were just so many different packs and strengths available- sometimes too much choice is not a good thing !

I use to drink tea by the gallons and I had some staining on my fangs. So I decided to use the Supreme strength ones for 2 weeks, just before the wedding (they stay on for 30 mins at a time) and there was a noticable difference. I gave a couple of strips to the OH to try and he got a headache from it. I had some sensitivity afterwards (which did go) and I did dribble a bit when I wore the strips ? but I'd definately use them again if I needed a bit of a top up.

Sensodyne is a good shout if your teeth feel a bit sensitive when using them.

Yep! You just keep using them until you're satisfied with the results. I did a 5 day top up before my wedding, and that was enough. I am a tea drinker and that knocks a couple of shades off over the months.

Brilliant! Thanks for all your help peeps, my OH found the Supreme strips online on special offer at £19.99, enough in the pack for both of us to use-I only need a shade or two, don't really have any staining as such but they're slightly yellowish. Funny, I never used to get this at all until I started going to the dentist around 10 years ago- I think they do more damage than good :-(
