Criteria for banning/suspending a member

Tray1980, 6 March, 2012 at 16:35 Posted on Feedback to Hitched 0 3

Can I ask what the existing criteria is for a member to have their account suspended/banned? Also, why an in-depth reason is not given to those who have had their accounts suspended/banned.

In light of the recent bans to some long standing members recently, I think its only fair a transparent process is followed.

Agreed, I've heard that on other forums banned members receive a list of specific posts which had been reported as abusive.

I have asked a similar question in an email to Darren earlier. I asked for the process to become clear and consistent and for Hitched to involve the members of the forum in the change/creation of any forum rules.

Hitched is a business and Darren makes a lot of money from the advertising and the hits he receives so don't ever make the mistake of thinking that he cares about any of you. You're all just cogs in his money making machine and anyone that steps out of line is banned. I don't give a f*ck if I'm banned, but I dare any of you to ask Darren how much he makes from you lot!

Can't even feckin' swear on here.

I would also like to see some consistency in the intervention techniques of the mods. I have been lurking for a long time and today I have seen a mod get involved in a thread to issue warnings. Normally the thread is just deleted. Some guidance regarding the actions of mods and then some consistency in their application would be greatly appreciated by all.
