Crying with laughter.

oldspeckledtam, 23 September, 2008 at 20:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

When is the last time you actually cried with laughter? I recieved the following text from my brother today.

" Girlfriend has excelled herself this morning. Apparently she was having a dream that she was being made to eat worcester sauce, pear and onion cake, baked by Jeremy Clarkson. This is the reason she spat on my face while I was asleep."

I cried when I read it and have been sniggering on and off all day. Anyone else fancy sharing a cry with laughter moment?

(BTW, for BGB, I usually post on BT, but thought this was more suited to OT. I lurk lots and post when I feel I can be useful?)

I cried with laughter today. My friend and I took our newborns to the local farm park, and a Llama chased me.

Then we took photographs of ourselves behind those painted pictures with the faceholes cut out. I was riding a horse, and my friend was feeding a goose, except they were designed for toddlers, so we had trouble fitting our faces in.

...ahhh, the glamour and fun of motherhood.

A couple of weeks ago - Jerseyboy and I were in the car, he was driving and I kept saying there was something wrong with the car. Every couple of minutes there'd be a rumbling sensation that I could feel and I was sure it was something to do with the brakes. He swore he couln't feel it but this went on for about an hour with me getting increasingly annoyed that he couldn't feel the rumbling.

And then I realised my phone was in my bag, at my feet and the battery was running low so was vibrating. I was laughing/crying so hard that I couldn't explain what was so funny. He kept saying, "This had better be good!" and when I managed to get it out, he howled.

    Tonight.

Mr S has just downloaded the BETA for Little Big Planet, a game for the PS3, and we've just been running around smacking each other.. It's hard to explain unless you've seen it!

    xx

About a week or so ago - I was looking at lolcats, laughing and showing them to mr v, who just doesn't get the whole lolcat thing at all - which made me laugh even more. In the end we were both in tears laughing at each other.

My husband does a silly thing - stealth. He tries to creep up on me but is useless at it and I never jump or whatever. I have out-stealthed him now on several occasions but I went for broke the other saturday night whilst he was in the bathroom. the duvet cover was off for washing and I hadn't put the clean one on yet so the duvet itself was crumpled on the bed - I climbed under it and jumped out at him - he screamed. It was so funny - I cried then! My all time fave crying with laughter moment is when H tried to skip for the first time. I thought I was going to die from laughter then!

A couple of weeks ago me and Mr ET were watching Sky Sports news and they were covering the story of Keegan's departure from Newcastle United. They showed a group of loyal toon fans proudly waving their home made banner that read 'bouycoutt the club' which made us rewind at least three times and act out the making of the banner, in suitably rubbish geordie accents.

I even had a little snigger to myself remembering that silly half hour.

That is fantastic! I'd love JC to bake me a cake! In a similar vein, we were asleep in bed. I sleep with 2 pillows, h only has 1. I was fast asleep, but I had somehow decided that H needed 2 pillows, so I gave him mine, but put it on his face. When he asked me what I was doing, I told him that he needed 2 pillows, i had 2 pillows, so he shpuld have 2 pilllows. he then replied saying that he didn't want 2 pillows, so I rolled over and left him with the pillow on his face ?

Last time I cried with laughter was watching you've been framed a couple of weeks ago. A child was playing a bongo drum, but using a stick with a big ball on the end. As he lifted the stick up, the ball rolled off. I could hardly breathe!

The other day at my dad's birthdayy party. We were sitting outside my parents' house and there were some pigeons on the (sloping) rroof. My sister's boyfried was trying to throw bread up on to the roof for the pigeons and the bits off bread kept rolling bacck down and landing on his head. At one point he got a bit to stay up, but then when the pigeon picked it up it dropped it and it rolled down and landed on his head. Then he threw the bread again and it hit the pigeon and bounced back... and so on and on. We were nearly ill with laughing.

I cried with laughter on Friday night when the person taking my Ann Summers party turned up with her gay friend in drag. He was wearing the gangster outfit from their range. My face must have been a picture when I answered the door. Noone ordered that outfit lol

Last night. Mr WT was talking about his HR dept in work and trying to sort out a date with one of them to replace her IT kit. So he said he looked in here electronic calendar to see that she had a 2 day appt next week that stated 'HR meditation awaydays'

I started to snigger when he went on about how ridiculous it was that they were all out of the office for two days meditating blah blah blah.... by then I was laughing loudly and asked him 'Do you think perhaps theyre on a 2 day MEDIATION course?'

He then blushed, cracked a smile and burst out giggling and admitted it could have said mediation not meditation seeing as that team deals with tribunals.

By then I had tears streaming down my face and my face and sides were hurting.
