Han85, 13 February, 2010 at 17:42 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hey - help needed with my centre pieces.

I have a couple of ideas that i love which are below. But to hire or buy they cost around £50 ea which times by 10 tables is waaaay to expensive. Has anyone done anything like this DIY style? Or any ideas would be appreciated

i saw these ages ago and thought that they'd be a great centre piece (assuming they wouldn't be that big), the links not exactly what your after but might give you an idea, i think that they should be quite simple to make and cheap to make providing you have a sturdy base.

I have a supplier for these but even to buy trade they are £50-£60 each. You could try to make them but that materials will cost you a fair amount for the crystals.

Not quite the same but for my winter wedding I am having tall silver glittered twigs in tall vases and then having a few selected strings of crystals hanging off. The effect is very nice and wintery without being too distracting at the table, which I would worry about with those trees.

    Hi Han85,

We are hiring some beautiful Crystal Candelabra's which could be a cheap option for you.

Im not sure on how to add a photo so have a look at the companies website that we are hiring them- www.stylishcentrepieces.co.uk

    Hope it helps

Thanks for all the links and suggestions. I had thought of maybe doing the vase / twig idea instead as the sturdiness of the tree would be my main concern if i made it myself.

Love the candelabra idea i did actually see a beautiful one at a recent wedding fayre.

LauraSJ are you using normal twigs from say garden or are you buying specific ones from a shop?

    Thanks x
