crystal clear microdermabrasion

sparklejunkie, 18 May, 2009 at 17:16 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience of these facials? Just wondering if it hurts, was it effective, etc.?

I've been suffering really badly from acne recently, mainly around my jawline, and following a facial last week was advised by the salon (who don't do this treatment themselves) to give this a try.

Any info would be gratefully received - I'm a bit apprehensive as it sounds a bit hardcore but my skin is driing me mad!

?

I'm sorry I have no advice. But had to say that when I first read the title I read it too fast and thought it said - crystal clear masturbation ?

I got a block of these facials for my wedding last year, I thought they were great! I suffered a bad breakout and had 2 almost boil like spots on the bridge of my nose which left scarring. The crystal clear took the scarring away. Your skin feels great after it and your make up goes on great aswell. The only down side is your first couple of treatments will cause break outs, but they will clear up. You really need between 5 and 10 treatments to notice a difference and at £50 a pop its not cheap, but soooo worth it! You usually get a discount if you book a block of treatments. xx

Oh and its not sore!! I find them very relaxing, the first part (the microdermabrasion) is done on dry skin, then they use a sookey, vacuum machine, which is not painful eaither, I think it drains the toxins and lifts the skin. The worst part is a mask they put on, its freezing!!

sorry for the delayed reply, couldn't get it to work on my iPhone last night

thanks for sharing your experience, that's reassuring and sounds like it worked for you. I've booked in for a consultation at the weekend!

    thanks again x

I love these facials - I wouldn't waste the money on a usual 'pampering' style one now.

Haven't had one in ages but even Mr CV used to comment on how great my skin looked when I was having them regularly and, normally, I could come in with my head dhaved and he wouldn't spot any difference.

Vouchers for a session or 2 are high on my birthday list this year.

Yup me! I have the Crystal clear every 3 months and have the Genie non-surgical facelift every other month. The crystal doesn't hurt at all but you do look a bit sunburnt after for 24hrs and you're not supposed to wear make up for a day after. Can highly recommend it!
